A chance to join a UK leading data and cloud consultancy as a Power BI Analyst and data quality specialist. The successful candidate will have a strong track record working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and have the ability to develop engaging data visualisations. 
 

Responsibilities of the Power BI Data Analyst:

In this role you will be;

• Working alongside stakeholders to define data quality requirements and develop engaging data visualisations
• Utilizing effectively the navigation features in Power BI (e.g. bookmarks, drill-through) to guide readers through a compelling data-driven story
• Ingesting data from a variety of data sources and performing required transformations in the Power BI query editor using a mixture of utilizing the UI and writing M code
• Data Modelling and developing calculations in DAX which are accurate and performant on large datasets
• Writing complex SQL queries to optimise reporting
• Protecting project data, maintaining data security
• Strong communication and stakeholder manager skills

Experience:

• Able to communicate effectively across a large team
• Understands the fundamentals of data and analytics processes and procedures
• Up to date knowledge of latest Power BI features and functionality
• Proficient in writing SQL, DAX, and M
• An in-depth understanding of how the Power BI Service works
• Strong experience with Power BI including row level security
• The ability to develop production-ready quality reports and dashboards

Desirable skills:

• Working in an Azure DevOps environment
• Best practices data modelling, star schema models
• Strong data analysis skills
• Mentoring team members on Power BI
