Data Miner Job Profile
The Data Miner is responsible for designing the data modelling/analysis service which is used to mine enterprise systems and applications for knowledge and information to enhance business processes.
They will also be responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining data support tools, metadata inventories, and definition for the database file and table creation.
Data Miner Job Requirements
If you want to become a data miner, you will need:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics or another relevant area
Strong understanding of data mining models, structures, theories, principles and practices
Strong familiarity with data preparation, processing, classification and forecasting
Working technical experience with relational database servers
Direct experience with data management techniques
Hands-on database tuning and troubleshooting experience
Project management experience
Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
