A Data Wrangler is the person who ensures the data within a company is high quality and useful by transforming it and mapping it from one raw data form into another. The purpose of the data wranglers job is to make the data more appropriate and valuable for a variety of purposes – such as analytics.
The process of data wrangling involves extracting the data in a raw form, sorting the raw data into predefined data structures, and depositing the final resulting data into a data sink for storage and future use.
Data Wrangler Job Requirements
A data wrangler need to have:
Experience in querying structured data and running ETL processes
Experience in running data pipelines on high-performance computing infrastructures
Knowledge of DataOps frameworks
Experience in data modelling and relational database design
